Become a Certified Horseback Riding Instructor with Instructor Training Courses to prepare you to pass certification tests. Saddle Soar Ranch does not do the certifications.

Saddle Soar Ranch is again offering a comprehensive training program to prepare you to become a Certified Horseback Riding Instructor.

This training program covers how to teach basic riding skills, theory of riding, safety concerns, location preparation, insurance requirements and horse selection.

The certification course consists of 8 hours of classroom time, 40 hours observation and practice teaching time, 16 hour horsemanship class for a total of $800.

Classes are scheduled with individual participants needs in mind, either daytime, evenings or Saturdays, starting in the fall. Once a time is agreed upon, a non-refundable deposit of $200 must be made and the balance paid in full one week before the scheduled date of the class. (If more than one person can take the class at the same time, the price will be adjusted slightly.)

There are no refunds unless Saddle Soar Ranch is unable to complete the class.

This course prepares you to teach. Entry level riding and teaching positions may be available at Saddle Soar Ranch at the time your are certified. Saddle Soar Ranch does not do the certifications. This is offered by CHA, an international organization of Certified Horsemanship Association. The tests are done in various places in Washington State ~

There is a one time enrollment and orientation fee of
 $40.00 for all new or returning students. This fee covers
 the advance session held before riding lessons begin to
 review safety and policy procedures with students and
 student's parents.
 Private: Four 1 hour lessons.......$160.00 per month

 *There can be no make-up classes or schedule changes

 Horsemanship 101: 1 eight hour class.

  Children 14 and under must be accompanied with

 Our facilities offer an outdoor arena with lights for evening classes and a pea-gravel footing.
